meet Kelly

A lover of color, texture, home….

Kelly has always been deeply creative, so Interior Design was a natural path for her. She followed this path wholeheartedly, receiving a degree in Interior Design from Texas State University, and went on to work for a design firm in Houston. After 7 years of honing her skills and crafting relationships within the industry, Kelly was ready to build her own design studio. And thus KWDC was founded in the summer of 2024.

Kelly believes every home tells a story and should reflect the personalities of those who reside in it, showcasing materials and objects that help you learn more about the owners. She finds this deeply personal aspect of design to be what drives her enthusiasm for each project. Getting to know her clients and the story they want to tell through their home is an honor she doesn’t take lightly. She takes pride in creating relationships with clients and contractors that last long past their first project together.

Known for her attention to detail, she loves making a statement even with smaller elements of the design - funky cabinet hardware, colorful trim on a drape, custom tile patterns… She believes each and every material should be thoughtfully chosen.

When she’s not designing, Kelly loves going to yoga, reading whimsical books, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and hanging out with her cat, Clover (and her partner, Adam).
